I would like to wish you a very happy New Year. May it bring you many blessings and many advancements in your personal and spiritual growth.
Each year brings its share of blessings and challenges. Sometimes, it can even be hard to distinguish as to which is which. Often, our toughest trials turn out to be our greatest lessons and become blessings that set us up well for the future.
Thus, the best attitude to adopt to whatever life throws our way is captured in the words of W. Clement Stone, “That’s good!” This was what he would say no matter WHAT happened, no matter how bad it might overtly seem to be. Then he would try to find out the good in the situation, and thereby prove himself right. Another way of saying this is “Every cloud has a silver lining.”
A new year is a time demarcation and therefore an opportunity. There is a sense of freshness about it all. This is the time to give a lot of time to what it is you really want your life to be about; what you really want to achieve and what you truly want to give to the world.
Hence, this sort of time is excellent for some quiet introspection as well as some sustained planning. Beyond mere new year “resolutions”, if you could sit down and really think what you want your life to be about, in terms of service and contribution, and then spend time figuring out a detailed plan to bring that about, you would have spent your time very well.
Why not do that today?…
Of course, nothing works perfectly to begin with. Hence, you need to monitor your progress in whatever you decide to do, re-dedicate yourself to it if you go astray, and then maintain the course to your desired destination. You repeat this process until you get there.
I hope you will take some time to think about this sort of thing and not merely pick up where last year left off. We have so few years on this planet. Hence, it has to be about more than just making some cash and having kids. What does your life MEAN? Does it matter that you were ever here?
On another subject, I pledge to be more in contact this year than previously. Last year was something of a setting up process and a re-dedication to what Mystic Visions offers as a website and what I offer as a teacher of this sort of thing. So you’ll definitely be hearing a lot more from me from now on.
Related to that, I am proud to say that yesterday I received the proof copy of my forthcoming physical book, Aspire To Wisdom. It was a rewarding experience to finally see it in physical existence at last. It looks great and I can’t wait to be able to get it into YOUR hands too! Anyway, I’ll be doing the various edits and getting the final version up and ready within the next few days.
In summary, I wish you the very best for this year. I hope you make great progress in every aspect of your life. I hope to be able to contribute to that process in some small way.
To Your Success,
