When I wish for a boat or an elephant or a cheese burger or whatever I want, and I am prepared to take on some of other's discomfort or my own in order to get what I want (IOW I am an optimist) then I have more success...

and my mind wi teknd to sabtoage such efforts. (like it just scvrewed up my typing - I didn;t bother correcting this).

But when I am already down and out and not willing to bear discomfort to get what I want, I will quite simply have less success in getting what I want.

This is a prioritisation performed by the mind; based on what you need right now as opposed to your fantasies.

Once you have met all emotional needs your mind and in particular the unconscious mind will be open to finding solutions for you.

When you visualise getting something you must be prepared to accept something slightly worse or a lot better than what you wish for; optherwise paradoxically you will get something less suitable. This is just because other people[/the universe or whatever you believe] like to test you to see if you're able to cope with stuff before you are allowed to get the good stuff.
