Silent in body, silent in speech, silent in mind, without defilement, blessed with silence is the sage. He is truly washed of evil.

If you are as weary as I am of all the "peace talks" that go nowhere, or the latest innovation of "wars for peace", then you will find the first article of interest. It asks, what can spiritually oriented people do about it all, as opposed to just waiting forever for our lackluster politicians to do the seemingly impossible.

The second article is an answer to a reader who asked me, what do you do if you are in a job you don't like, don't have much money, but want to break away and succeed? I have tried to give it my best shot in this brief space, and hope it benefits many.

I just wanted to mention again the Bob Proctor monthly Freedom Series that was reviewed in the last issue. I am on this program and really finding it to be excellent, even though I am already familiar with Mr. Proctor's work. I highly recommend it as an excellent combination of wealth creation and spiritual manifestation principles in one integrated system:

Article: Talking Of Peace

by Asoka Selvarajah

When Jesus said, "Blessed are the Peacemakers...", it is highly unlikely that he had in mind the kind of cynical, war-mongering, self-serving, untrustworthy imposters we have the misfortune of seeing cast into that role today.

According to today's peacemakers, the surest way to insure peace is to wield a bigger gun than your adversary. How strange that this profound strategy finds little justification in any of the world's major spiritual teachings on peace. How sad that, thanks to this folly, the notion of establishing peace through purely peaceful means has become as outdated as the gramophone record.

These days, we have swifter, technologically sophisticated, and more "effective" approaches. Thanks to the last Gulf War, when pictures of joyful liberated Iraqis were shown on TV worldwide, those who stood for Peace (which includes the Pope and the Dalai Lama) were made to look "wrong", and those who urged for war were made to look "right".

Yet, real lasting peace in our world seems more elusive than ever. The human race has more complex toys. However, it has yet to attain a commensurate level of maturity. What would the great peacemakers of the past - Gandhi, Jesus, Martin Luther King, Buddha - have made of our present strategies for Peace?

There comes a time in the life of an aging automobile where it has to be conceded that it cannot be patched up any longer, but must be junked instead. It's that way with the world's current political processes and the major players within it. The current tools are hopelessly inadequate to the tasks at hand and can never produce the elusive Utopia they are forever promising. They work with outdated paradigms and old-fashioned self-serving strategies.

Peace is hard enough to achieve when there are long-standing historical issues giving rise to conflict in the first place. How much more impossible then, when the key players have little qualification, and no credibility, to be discussing peace in the first place? This is very often the case.

Let's take the Israel/Palestine conflict as an example. Who are the key players negotiating the peace? On one hand, you have a man who directly caused the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians, and narrowly escaped being tried for war crimes as a result. On the other, you have an "approved" puppet representative; approved more by the USA than by his own people.

Meanwhile the various armed groups, whose cooperation is ultimately indispensable to any lasting peace, are not even allowed to come to the table. In the role of international arbiter, you have a man had never left the USA prior to taking office as its President, and who could name hardly any of the main political leaders on the world stage at the time.

How on earth are these people being trusted with creating Peace?!

A famous person once said that "people get the government they deserve". It is precisely because we elect people like the above, for our own self-serving domestic interests, and then let them loose on the world stage, that international stalemates are so common, and the progress of peace is stymied. Ultimately, each of us is responsible for the lack of peace in the world, because we insist on participating in this failed process. We keep hoping on a miracle: namely, that these self-serving politicians will actually deliver on their promises once in a while.

The flaw in modern peace attempts are that they are materialistic in nature and outwardly focused in spirit. We have the wrong people as our peace makers, focusing on the wrong things. The strife in the world seems to be about territory, borders, race, and rights. However, the real causes of dissent lie in the mind: in the ideas and notions that people have developed and held over generations of time. Whilst we all like to say we are the same under the skin, the fact is that people always focus on their historical differences when the chips are down.

It's time for spiritually oriented people to seriously consider dropping support for the current world system as it exists today,

How can we support peace processes that are invariably carried out at the point of a gun? Such techniques can never bring lasting Peace.

Instead, spiritually oriented people need to unite and focus on creating a mass change in world consciousness. This can eventually create the momentum for peace throughout the world. In the same way that tens of millions united across the world and marched for peace, so we must all march for peace in the spiritual realms.

Rather than support, directly or indirectly, our governments' covert plans and strategies, we must disengage our minds and wills from all of that, and instead direct them increasingly towards thinking, pondering, meditating upon, and creating a consensus for peace in the minds of all peoples worldwide. We can work at the spiritual level to make this an overriding ambition for the human race. Just as invasion, wealth and power have been the primary motivations of peoples and nations right up to the present, so too can peace be driven deep into the human race's spiritual psyche, until it begins to express forcibly in the material world in terms of tangible results.

Lasting change on the physical plane, and in the minds of people, can only come about once there has been a change on the spiritual non-material realms first. It is from the non-material that the material emerges and has its being. The present destructive thought patterns, political notions, and ideas of racial and religious disunity, have emerged and hardened over time into the fixed habits and patterns of thought of the human race.

The human race desperately need to develop totally new habit patterns. The old ones are not serving us. This goes beyond Democracy, Communism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism or any of the fixed notions that have created a tremendous weight of historical and psychic baggage that none of us knows how to deal with anymore.

Nobody cuts out the hearts of living people in order to ensure that the Sun rises tomorrow. And cannibalism is definitely on the decline. Yet, both of these practices were once common, and even the over-riding belief system of the day in certain nations. It can be the same with the outdated political/religious/racial belief systems that currently serve us so very badly. They CAN be replaced by something better.

However, what is essential for this to happen is that a powerful, focused, laser-like consensus develops at the non-material level. Spiritually inclined people need to be working at the levels of Cause, rather than leaving politicians to work at the materialistic levels of Effect.

People could create focus groups that meditate and visualize creating a future world filled with harmony, care for the environment, and spiritual unity. Peace is too important to be left to self-serving political processes. You need to take DIRECT ACTION in the spiritual realms.

Will this process yield fruit in your lifetime? Maybe not.

Remember that humanity's problems took thousands of years to evolve to this stage. So it will take time to correct the spiritual mistakes of generations that are imbedded on the non-material planes. However, that should not deter you. It is a good thing to have goals that exceed your own life, and even your own small lifetime.

However, it may not take as long as you might think. Jesus began with just twelve disciples and created a spiritual tradition that, despite centuries of persecution, took over the known world. Mohammed did the same. And they didn't even have the internet! The power of "two or three gathering in my name" should never be overlooked. Jesus talked about his followers being salt and a light to the nations. This really is possible: a few people, even just one, can accomplish a tremendous amount. It does not take that many people, focusing upon a clear purpose with laser-beam clarity, to achieve it in the spiritual realms, and consequently in the physical realms too.

Maybe just one person reading this will want to form such a group. Maybe that one group will eventually cause others to come into formation. Little by little, such groups and individuals will chip away at the status quo of humanity's belief structures on the non-physical planes. Piece by piece, the old structure will be worn away until, one day, it just collapses completely and forever.

Let's begin that work today. Will you do it ?...

PRODUCT REVIEW: Jim Rohn Weekend Event DVD Seminar

The Jim Rohn Weekend Event is a 21-hour seminar, comprising the very best of legendary motivational trainers Jim Rohn AND Zig Ziglar, in one stunning seminar. It was recorded over June 22-24 2001, and people paid as much as $1995 per ticket to attend. The filming and recording is state of the art; probably clearer, sharper and more "live" than any other recorded seminar you have ever watched. It's just like being there. The range of success strategies taught is vast; ranging from goal setting, spirituality, money, raising kids, time management, financial independence, leadership and more.

MANY well-known special guests appeared at the seminar (of which Zig Ziglar was just one), each offering very special personal development insights you really need to benefit from. You can see the full list by clicking the link below

Well, I just received the Jim Rohn Weekend Event DVDs and I have to say that I am extremely impressed. I think you will be too. They do offer the whole thing on CD, for those who just want to listen, but I believe it is better to get the DVDs, because you can still just listen to them, using your DVD machine and the TV switched off! You've already got the audio on the DVD, so why pay for it again? That's what I would recommend, anyway.

Overall, if you missed attending this seminar, the DVD Weekend Event is the next closest thing. These ideas really can change your life. For more information, click the link and then select "Weekend Event Package" from the left-hand menu...

Article: 7 Secrets Of Success - How To Break The Chains That Bind You...

by Asoka Selvarajah

Caught in a fix? Doing a job you don't enjoy? Earning little money? Burdened down with responsibilities and problems you cannot cope with?...

Does this describe you?

It may. And even if it doesn't, you probably remember a time when some, or all of it, did apply. So, the question is, when you are chained to a situation like this, what can you do to liberate yourself?

Here are some suggestions:

(1) Develop a clear vision of what you want in your life. You need a clear vision for what you want out of your life. Napoleon Hill called it a "major definite purpose". Without it, your life will be full of activity, but it will go precisely nowhere. You cannot arrive anywhere specific unless you decided to go there in the first place.

Hence, if your life has turned into a mess, it is primarily because you had no specific vision to guide you from the very beginning. That's not surprising. Hardly anyone has. We all follow each other, without much original thought, and end up in much the same fixes.

So, the first step is to get a clear vision. You need to spend a lot of time by yourself in self-examination. Make notes on every area of your life - physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, financial, professional, relationships, and so on - and develop a clear vision for your ideal future in each one.

In "The Freedom Series", Bob Proctor recommends the use of a goal card. You write your major definite purpose on it, and carry it around with you all the time, reading it as often as you can. In that way, you imprint this desire into your subconscious, which begins to go to work to attract into your life that which you continually desire and dwell upon.

Know that everything begins with the mind - for good or ill. Train your mind, and you can have anything you want in life.

(2) Get Knowledge. In order to be successful, you need a mentor: someone who already is what you aspire to become. You must either find such people, or at the very least study the written, audio and visual products that they have produced. Thanks to modern technology, you can go a long way in your quest by constant and never-ending study of the techniques of success. There are plenty of excellent products available to help you.

If you think you can get this information fr*ee, forget it. You get what you pay for in life. Freebie seekers remain poor precisely because they are reinforcing their subconscious mind with beliefs of poverty, through always seeking out fr*ee stuff.

Ask yourself if ANY successful person you have ever heard of is a fre*ebie seeker? Do what successful people do, not what failures do.

Successful people know that the best investment they can ever make is in their own education. Successful people spend large amounts of money (often tens of thousands of dollars) attending seminars, buying books and courses, purchasing audio tape programs, and the like. Failures do not.

You might argue that these people can afford to spend that kind of money, because they are already prosperous. Ironically, they are the people who LEAST need to, since they are already successful. It's the people who MOST need this information who run shy from investing in it, and always seek the fre*ebie route.

However, that's not for you. Resolve that in future, you will build your personal library of success material and invest money and time into yourself. If you believe you lack the money, find inessentials you can dispense with, and divert the funds from there to what is most important.

(3) Strategy. You need a clear plan to get where you want to go in life. As you work with the teachings of your mentor (whether live or through motivational products), gradually develop your plan for each life area. Be ready to be flexible and change parts of it, or even the entire plan, if it does not work for you.

Develop the vision, continually get the knowledge, create and develop your plans (and then monitor and alter them appropriately). Most people have no vision for their lives, have never sought knowledge that would help them, and have no plans for their lives apart from their vacation. Is it any wonder that they fail?

(4) Be Grateful. Gratitude opens the gates of heaven to bless you, and also opens up your own mind to receive it. It is one of the key principles for creating wealth and abundance. No matter how dire your circumstances, you can always find plenty to be grateful for; even if it is the Sun, blue skies and bird song.

Your mind attracts more of what you focus upon. Focus upon your lack and you will get more of it. Focus on what you have and hope for, and even more good things must come your way. Gratitude opens you up to the Source, from which all good things come.

(5) Practice Your Future. You must live in your future NOW, without worrying too much about how you will achieve it. Even if your future seems impossible to you, begin to take regular times every day when you will visualize it as clearly as possible. Use all five senses and increasingly live in the world you desire to create. The subconscious cannot tell the difference between imagination and reality. Hence, whatever you imagine, the subconscious will go ahead and create for you. It does this by harnessing the infinite resources of the universe.

Actually, you are already doing this, although you may not be controlling the process. As stated several times, what you focus upon grows and you attract more of it to yourself. Hence, if your mind focuses on what is wrong with your life, your situation, or other people, that is what you will get more of. If you instead consciously focus upon what you want, and maintain a clear bright image of it, that is what you must get. It is a law of nature.

(6) Self-Esteem. A key reason why people fail to achieve even their OWN criteria for success is lack of self-esteem and low self-confidence. As well reported, much of this arises from childhood. The bad news is that if you are like most people, all that negative baggage remains with you. The good news is that you can get rid of it.

Low self-esteem is like driving with the hand brake on. You will not get far, no matter how hard you rev the engine. This is where self-sabotage comes from. Nobody can rise to dizzying heights of success if their success thermostat is set to a low level. It will always act to bring you back into its idea of balance, i.e. the life you are striving so hard to break fr*ee from! You have to drastically increase the level on the internal success thermostat if you expect to experience any enduring success. You need to get ALL parts of your inner psyche working in the same direction: working coherently to drive you to your desired outcome in life.

This is where getting the knowledge and strategies suggested in section (2) above is so vital. There are many excellent ways to improve your self-esteem. This is definitely a doable task, although not an easy one. Hence, you need to research this subject thoroughly and get to work to create high self-esteem in your life.

(7) Persistence. There is probably no more critical determiner of ultimate success than this. Most people fail and give up, which is why they cannot even achieve their own criterion of success.

Often, we give up on the very brink of success, like the gold miner who drilled for months, and then gave up and sold the mine when he was just two feet away from the vein of gold (true story!).

Achieving your desired vision will not be easy. Then again, living a life of frustration, disappointment and continual under-achievement is not any easier. So why not opt for the former hard work instead of the latter?

Be persistent. Nothing can replace it. The less talented will overcome the more talented, and the tortoise will beat the hare. Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were just like everyone else, apart from this one quality. You will need to be persistent, because achieving anything worthwhile takes time and effort. You may have to even face ridicule. Persistence will get you through.

In this brief article, you have been given seven keys to achieving great success in your life. Review this article many times. Consider how to put its principles into your life. Do your research and build your knowledge. Invest in yourself. Dream your future and then live in your dreams until they become reality.

Rid yourself of low self-esteem, and be persistent.

In ending, I do not wish you luck, because luck has nothing to do with it. Remember, there are no excuses. It's all up to you .

May you prosper in every way.
