What's New at Mystic Visions Website? Website Update
Many new discussions took place at the forums. Someone
posted a very provocative and challenging article about the New
Age there, which sparked a lengthy debate. You can read it, and
other similar fascinating discussions at:
Let this moment be there, and you in it, and suddenly you have
everything - because life is there. Suddenly everything starts
showering on you, and then this moment becomes eternal and then
there is no time. It is always the now. It never ends, never
begins. Then you are in it, not an outsider. You have entered the
whole, you have recognized who you are.

Many people who want to meditate need some simple guidance on how
to begin. At the same time, Mindfulness - the daily practical
practice of awareness - is something that also needs to be
integrated into our lives. The first article, by Julie Jordan
Scott, gives you some excellent practical tips on how to do this.
Another issue that confronts us in our lives is suffering. There
is nobody who does not suffer. Yet, few of us know how to
integrate that suffer into our spiritual lives. The second
article, by Barbara Rose, explores this subject in depth.
Many people have issues regarding Money, and what it takes to be
wealthy. Well, I've come across a resource that I can recommend
as being of real value. It's a book called "7 Secrets Of The
Millionaires" by Stuart Goldsmith, and it covers the essential
steps and strategies required to acquire great wealth. Mr. Goldsmith
is himself a multi-millionaire. Now, I don't necessarily agree with
EVERYTHING Stuart says (he's anti-mystical for example), but as
an HONEST and powerful guide to becoming wealthy and living your
dreams, it is hard to beat, least of all because he is writing from
personal experience.
Meditation: when you read or hear the word, what picture or
thought comes to your mind?
Merriam Webster's defines meditation as "to guide in
contemplation". In that simple definition there is nothing
creeping in about "one should do it this way" or "it's a must do
to meditate in this manner."
Washing my hands I repeat to myself silently "Contribution".
Later, as I smooth lotion into my skin I repeat with my eyes
closed "Contribution". As I take a drink of water I repeat my
entire life purpose statement which includes the word
"contribution".
I have been using this practice for the last few weeks as I heard
a theme surface repeatedly in conversation.
"I want to meditate" followed immediately by "and I don't have
enough time" or "How can I fit another "thing" into my schedule?"
I have some excellent news and some more excellent news.
There are several simple methods to integrate the quiet
mindfulness of a meditation practice into the reality of a
filled-to-the-brim daily life.
I am not going to tell you that you simply MUST schedule 30
minutes to an hour in meditation by waking up earlier or staying
awake later or you are never going to experience the still quiet
that is available through the quiet centering of your being.
Further, Merriam Webster takes us one step deeper in saying to
meditate is "to focus one's thoughts on: reflect on or ponder
over".
This is what I have been doing throughout my day when I nourish
my body with water or moisturize my body with lotion or whenever
I feel myself have the most minor inkling of moving to the side
of scarcity or ill feelings.
Have I followed the practice each and every time in perfect,
serene order?
No.
And as I have continued anyway, I have noticed solutions to
challenges rising effortlessly into my consciousness. I have felt
more calm and quiet. There have been moments that I have not felt
calm and quiet. And it's perfectly ok. I continued anyway.
I have noticed that I am able to get more accomplished in less
time with less angst in relationship to the stuff that is usually
not so favorable in my eyes.
It is such a simple tool to use and so exceptionally powerful. It
doesn't take any time away from your tasks at hand: in fact, it
seems to magically inject your day with extra moments of time.
Here are the steps to follow to begin integrating this brand of
meditative reflection into your daily life:
1. Choose a word or theme in your reflective focus time. Use a
word that you want to experience in your life. If you have a life
purpose based on a theme or on who you are being as I do, you may
want to choose one of those words. I have been really focusing on
the "Joyful, Jubilant, Soulful" aspect of my Life Purpose
Statement in the past week.
You may want to use one of these words: Freedom, Prosperity,
Love, Growth, Spirit, Gratitude
2. Discern when you want to intentionally and actively focus on
the word in some daily activity: for me, it is when I nourish my
body with any sort of liquid be it lotion or a drink of water or
lipbalm or washing my hands or during showering time.
3. Be ready to forgive yourself when you forget to use the
practice. Just pick it back up the next time you are washing your
hands or putting lotion on your skin or taking a drink of water.
As you incorporate the practice and it becomes more natural you
will forget less and less. Allow yourself to not get it right!
Its perfectly alright.
4. Expect nothing and simultaneously expect absolutely anything!
That's right. Don't have the mistaken belief that now all your
troubles are gone! You have found THE perfect answer so nothing
will ever flare up again. What this tool will do for you is give
you the ability to go inward for peace within your crowded day.
Ironically, its in the not expecting anything that your greatest
rewards may be found. And then again, maybe not!
5. Stick with the practice for at least 21 days. Not 3 not 5 not
8. Please give it 21 days to become a part of your daily life
experience. If this sounds like too much then please stick to the
practice for the next hour and then the next hour after that and
then the next hour after that. In other words, stick with it.

This book provides you with a spiritual approach to understanding
the human body. It skilfully weaves the wisdom of Ancient India
with the findings of Western esoteric researchers. The first
section of the book gives you a powerful introduction to Polarity
Therapy - a spiritual discipline based upon the teachings of
Yoga. You are given a series of simple but immensely powerful
exercises that you can do to profoundly affect your consciousness
and health for the better.
The fundamental premise of Esoteric Anatomy is that your body is
a manifestation of divine consciousness. Thus it deals in great
depth with the esoteric energy systems of the body. The book
draws heavily upon the author's profound experience of the
mystics and gurus of India, as well as the wisdom teachings of
the ancient Indian scriptures. However, it is written in a
thoroughly modern way complete with beautiful diagrams and
charts. Whatever your interest in the esoteric aspects of the
Human Body, Esoteric Anatomy is sure to please you and to lead
you to an ever greater depth of understanding and insight.
I am sure it is safe to say that each of us has had times in our
lives when we had hopes, anticipation, expectations and events
where we desired a certain outcome.
I am sure it is equally safe to say that when any of them did not
turn out the way we had wished, we felt some measure of pain,
disappointment, anger, sadness, or turmoil.
Can you relate?
The purpose of this article is to change that. Just as alchemy
can turn base metal into gold, you will soon learn how to turn
your suffering into golden freedom from inner anguish.
Our human minds, thoughts, and beliefs have been conditioned for
eons to believe that some future event will bring us happiness.
As a result, we are constantly seeking.
We are projecting our vibrant and passionately alive state on the
condition that once we have whatever event, person, material
thing, title, award, or circumstance, we will THEN have
happiness.
Our ego tricks us to believe that we are not sufficient at the
present moment. No, we don’t have such and such yet; but once we
do THEN we can be happy.
Does any of this sound familiar? In any area? In any way?
When whatever we receive is not to our liking, we feel
resistance. It is the resistance to our deep belief that our
current state of being is not good enough which has us hinging
our happiness on something we think we need to acquire in order
to feel happier. It is seeking in the future.
Please let me know when you arrive at your future, I would like
to meet you! Shall I check back with you in ten minutes? Will you
be there then? I didn’t think so.
Where will you be? In the moment. Please do tell me when you will
ever NOT be IN the moment, I would like to meet you too!
THIS moment is an extraordinarily powerful and positive place to
be.
The alchemy occurs when we fully accept this moment, what we
have, and the situation at hand exactly as IT IS NOW, rather than
resist it. Perhaps this moment may not be your preference. That
is awareness! Perhaps you would prefer this moment to look
different, but it does not. It is what it is, and there is a
reason for it to be so.
Why? I’ll tell you.
Every event in our life is brought to us in order to help us grow
from within to BE the highest and best version of ourselves we
can ever hope to create.
In order to evolve internally, in love, compassion, confidence,
inner strength, gentleness, and belief in ourselves, there must
be an external catalyst for our growth. That catalyst is the
circumstance we RESIST, or try to GET in order to believe we are,
in fact, valued, loved, lovable, whole and complete as we are
NOW.
Does this mean we stop doing? No. It means we start BEING, rather
than seeking or resisting and avoiding.
If you find that you are catapulted into the throws emotional
turmoil, then you are NOT doing one thing: ACCEPTING.
Accepting does not mean allowing yourself to be abused, or the
abuser. The acceptance I am speaking of is stepping back for one
enormous moment, and WATCHING your emotional reaction to any
situation where you feel resistance.
Once you stop, and look at yourself as if you were on a movie
screen and say: “Look at how I am reacting. Look at what I’m
feeling because of this situation. The moment you can catch
yourself and “become the watcher” (as Eckhart Tolle states) you
immediately disengage yourself from the emotional drama of the
situation. Then, you can ACCEPT it just for what it is. As soon
as you accept it, alchemy occurs; you are no longer in pain.
Your suffering has been transformed into freedom from suffering.
You can then look at the situation with some measure of
objectivity, and if you can’t laugh at it, you can at least come
to peace with it.
Going back to an analogy to nature, suppose you have a small rose
bush in your garden. You WANT it to bloom, and give you one
hundred perfect roses. It blooms, and gives you two instead.
Do you stomp, scream, and rip the rose bush out of the ground by
its roots? No. You ACCEPT that this is what you received. Perhaps
it wasn’t yet ready this season to bloom, as you WANT it to.
Perhaps it will never bloom. It has NOTHING to do with YOU!
It is the same with people. The way they are, is simply the way
they are. Circumstances are the way they are. It is in THIS
moment that you can make a decision based on awareness, stemming
from acceptance, as to a course of action or inaction that will
serve your best interest.
You cannot make a beneficial decision based on awareness when you
are caught in the drama of resisting what is, now. However, once
you ACCEPT what is, now, you are then free to face whatever it is
you are seeking, or avoiding.
Then you will find you are evolving, rather than creating a
Movie-of-the-week miniseries out of your emotional turmoil.
Your turmoil exists solely in your invested interest in keeping
the status quo, (if you are resisting) or in changing the status
quo – if you are seeking.
Your personal alchemy is the golden moment of acceptance, which
will transform your suffering into freedom from its tyranny
forever.
